Our office welcomes babies! General Dentistry 4 Kids is Baby Oral Health Program certified.
The first dental visit is a key step in preventing the development of early childhood caries. We offer Baby Oral Health dental visits beginning as soon as your baby’s first tooth erupts.

Age One Dental Visit
The American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Dental Association, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry all recommend children have their first dental visit by age one. Children who are established at a dental home by age one are more likely to receive appropriate preventative and routine oral care.
What to Expect
You will stay with your child for the duration of the visit. We will perform what is called a “knee-to-knee” exam. With your child sitting on your lap, you will lay the child forward into the provider’s lap. Your dentist will examine soft tissue, check for proper development, and white spot lesions which may be symptomatic of developing caries. The dental provider will apply fluoride varnish to your child’s teeth if indicated. Caregivers will have opportunity to discuss family dental history, feeding practices, injury prevention, oral habits, and home dental care with the dental provider. When you schedule your child’s first dental visit with us, you can be assured that we are committed to providing a pleasant experience for you and your child.
