Dr. Amy Heil was raised in central Iowa. She received her undergraduate degree in Forensic Science/Chemistry from Eastern Kentucky University and spent several years working in the chemistry field.
In 2002 Amy chose to pursue her long-time goal of a career in dentistry by enrolling in the University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine. She graduated with honors in 2006 and was a recipient of the Delta Dental Leadership Award.
Early in her career, she recognized that her passion was to treat children. Dr. Heil uses her ability to connect with her young patients to help them feel comfortable during treatment. Every year she volunteers her time with the Give Kids A Smile program, providing free dental care to under-served children, as well as teaching parents and children the importance of good oral hygiene.
In her free time Amy enjoys spending time with her family as well as pottery, golfing, scrapbooking, and reading. She and her husband, Randy, are also big baseball fans and enjoy attending baseball games with their three children, Gehrig, Maris and Maddux.
